There are many fond memories of Mack but I would have to say it was the time the Mitch, myself and Mack went Crappie fishing. We were extremely crowded in the boat (I had to sit on the Ice Chest) but all 3 of us were catching a fish nearly every time we cast out. Mack didn't know that I had never baited a hook with a live worm or taken a fish off the hook before. ….He was laying his pole down every couple of minutes and taking my fish off and re-baiting for me….Never once got aggrevated or complained…finally after some time he said, "Now Sister, I came to fish too and your gonna learn how to do this yourself"… I remember so well him laughing at my facial expression when he promptly picked up the first worm, TORE IT IN HALF and threw the other half back in the container, and rammed that hook thru that worm…..U C K !! The he showed me how to pulled down on the bottom of their mouth to romove the hook (which makes a noise by the way)….. I finally forced myself and was able to keep fishing with them…. If it hadn't been for Mack, I would have never learned how to bait or remove a hook. He was one of the kindest and patient men I've ever known and I will always have fond memories of Mack McGehee.
