I recently learned of Phil's passing. We met in high school and quickly became best friends. The friendship lasted through college, but shortly afterward I lost contact with him. In addition to the numerous antics we got involved in, I'll always remember Phil as a very intelligent and cerebral individual. I remember many evenings having deep thoughtful conversations. Rest in peace.
