So sad about that, actually devastated. We've been working with Phil in the latest months at FlightSafety and he was always willing to help us at any time. Very soon we got along with him and figured out he was not only a very clever Engineer, but also a very nice person, with a nice mood all the time. We miss him. Our respects for him and condolences for his family.Marcelo Teles Embraer Pilot

It was never a dull moment with Phil while hunting or working together. The only thing he enjoyed talking about more than hunting or fishing, were his daughters. He will definitely be missed!
Phil responded with lightheartedness in correspondence. He is and will be missed. May God comfort you in the loss of your loved one.. Jennifer & Linda, FSI Librarians
We were honored to work with Phil Sears. Along all the years we worked together, Phil Sears has won our trust and our friendship. He was a great professional, extremely knowledgeable, experienced and humble at the same time. We went through a lot of challenges but definitively we had very good time together. He was a hard worker, a good chatâ?¦ It was really good to hear about his histories and about how proud he was about his daughtersâ?¦ He will always have all our respect e recognition. We will miss him a lot. We offer our thoughts and prayers to Philâ??s family. From his friends from Embraer in Brazil.
I had the privilege to work with Phil on numerous Bombardier Flight Simulator Programs over the years. Global Express, Challenger 605 #1 & #2, Challenger 350 #1 & #2, NetJets Global Vision FFS and many others. One of my fondest memories will be watching a hockey game with Phil in Columbus between the Blue Jackets and the Blackhawks. We always managed to have a conversation about hockey and how the Habs were shaping up. He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to all his family, colleagues and friends.Sincerely, Michael Borrelli Principal Engineering Specialist Bombardier Aerospace
