Phillis Davis' Obituary
Phillis Lucille (Locker) Davis, 84, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday October 22. She was born in Okmulgee Oklahoma on November 4th, 1935 to Harold and Edith Locker. She was married to Robert (Bob) W. Davis for 51 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, her brother Jim and his wife Ramona, her sister Donna and her husband Steve, and her brother-in law, Gary Gibson. Phillis is survived by her son Doug and his wife Luz of Tennessee, her daughter Delinda and her husband Stanton of Tulsa, her grandchildren: Robert L Davis of Oklahoma City, Anna Maria Saeli and her husband Hooman of Tennessee, Sophia Rose Davis of Colorado and one great grandson, Thompson Davis; and sister Krystine Gibson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends. She dedicated her life to God and was a member of the Sand Springs Church of Christ for many years.
She loved caring for children. She first started taking care of children in 1961. She owned her own business, the Licensed Phillis Davis Day Care home. She was well known in Prattville for her day care business and often had a waiting list of parents wanting to place their children in her nursery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to StreetCats or ACARF (Allen County Animal Rescue Foundation).
The family invites you to share in the celebration of her life. There will be a Visitation on Tuesday October 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home and the funeral service will be Wednesday, October 28 at 12:30 p.m., also at Floral Haven. Her service can also be accessed virtually.
