Phyllis Friesner's Obituary
Phyllis Marlene Friesner, 84 of Claremore, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born September 26, 1935 in Pickerington, Ohio to her parents, Henry Lewis Miller and Dorothy Marie Morris Miller. She later married the love of her life, James Friesner on October 3, 1953 in Dillon, South Carolina. They went on to share over 47 beautiful years together before his passing in 2000.
Phyllis worked in the retail industry doing accounting for Sears, then went on and worked many years for Hallmark and Janie's Bridal, but nothing brought her more joy then spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love of family stretched beyond that of blood, as shown in her faith. Phyllis's faith in our Lord and Savior shined through in all aspects of her life and she will be deeply missed.
Phyllis is survived by her three children, Jim Friesner and his wife Beverly of Lake Zurich, Illinois, Molly Prideaux and her husband Randy of Claremore, Oklahoma and Edye Friesner and Muskogee, Oklahoma; two siblings, Kenneth Miller of Alta Loma, California and Louise Shook and her husband Elvin of Lancaster, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Sam, Elizabeth, Michael, Jessica, Matthew, Shelby, Ariel and Randall; eleven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jimmy, Lincoln, Sean, Conner, Tatum, Paxton, Jocelynn, Alaina, Ezra and Elijah; along with many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Miller and Dorothy DeLong; her husband James Friesner and her brother, Sonny Miller.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Lacey officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
