Priscilla Brown's Obituary
Priscilla Ann Brown, 81, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life into the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in a Tulsa hospital with her family by her side. She was born January 14, 1938 in Cherryvale, Kansas to her parents, Paul Wilson Oxley and Julia Mae Oxley. She married the love of her life in 1958, Tom Brown, who preceded her in death in 2008.Priscilla loved the Lord with all her heart and exemplified Christ to so many people in Tulsa and around the world. God’s Word guided her over all of the years that she lived for Him. “Seek His will in all you do and He will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5, 6. She enjoyed life to the very end as promised in Psalm 92:14, “Even in old age, they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.”Priscilla is survived by one son, Michael Brown and his wife Patricia of Mounds, Oklahoma; and two daughters, Kimberlee Winn and her husband David of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Diana Downing and her husband Jefferson of Lincoln, Nebraska.Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday May 5, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home with family to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Tulsa Hills Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jim Thornton officiating. The family will greet guests starting at 1:20 a.m. in the sanctuary. Burial for family members only will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Everlasting Life in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM). NCM follows the example of Jesus, by partnering with local Nazarene congregations around the world to clothe, shelter, feed, heal, educate, and live in solidarity with those who suffer under oppression, injustice, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease.
