Priscilla Mae Hardesty's Obituary
Priscilla M Hardesty, 80, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 16, 1942, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to Percy and Catherine (Gallagher) Sudsbury.
Priscilla grew up in Springfield and graduated High School there. She married Thomas Hardesty in 1968 and they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after he left the Air Force. Priscilla was a devoted homemaker and mother, who enjoyed arts and crafts, reading, and baking. She was very involved in her children’s activities, including Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls. She loved Elvis Presley and his movies. She also worked part-time at Michaels for over 10 years, where she shared her passion and skills with customers and coworkers.
Priscilla was a kind, generous, and cheerful person, who always had a smile on her face. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She was the designated pie maker, and her pies were always delicious and in high demand.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Catherine Sudsbury. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Hardesty; her three children, Jim Thompson, Christopher Hardesty and his wife, Kandle, Tammy Chung and her husband, Caleb; her brother, Percy Sudsbury, her sister, Arlene Page; and her granddaughter, Catherine Hardesty.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Floral Haven's Rose Chapel with Pastor James Lacey officiating.
