Quanita Ambrez's Obituary
Quanita Rena Ambrez, age 62 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019. She was born to the late Floyd and Velma Myers in Mena, Arkansas on November 30, 1956. Quanita attended Central High School in Tulsa. Quanita worked for Amoco in Tulsa for many years as a computer support specialist.Family and friends were Quanita’s passion and delight. She grew up with her brothers, Johnny McClaren (Barbara), Earl McClaren (Estalene), and her sister, Margaret Reed (Henry) and was close to cousin and friend, Ruth (Rene) Waddle. Quanita married Mike Bates in January 2012 during a beautiful ceremony at their home. Quanita is survived by her husband, four children, and eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends. Her children and their families are: Latrina Boyles, husband Michael and children David and Madison; Joe Washington, wife Sandy and children Laschia, Chantel, Jeremy, Maria, Pattie, Zeke, and Lexi; Aaron Washington, wife Teresa and son Eli; Megan Washington and daughter Kiawa. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her during her last days. For those who have known Quanita in her fruitful journey with us, her Celebration of Life will be held at Open Arms Fellowship, 6021 West 7th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma with pastors Randy and Kathy Barnes as officiants.
