Rae Dell Leet's Obituary
Rae Dell Leet, 83, of Broken Arrow, OK, died July 31, 2015. Comforted by her son, William, Rae passed away in her home after a four-month battle with cancer. Born December 4, 1931 in Nowata, OK, she was the only daughter to Vernon and Marie Plecker. She graduated from Central High School in 1949 and continued to play an integral role with the “49er’s” graduating class. On November 1, 1968, she married Chester “Chet” Leet in Richardson, TX. Rae worked at Arrow Speed Warehouse in Tulsa, until retiring in 2001. Rae was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons David & Robin Cameron of Broken Arrow, Robert & Debbie Jo Cameron of Terrell, TX and William & Amy Leet of Broken Arrow. Rae was preceded in death by her husband Chet Leet and daughter, Linda Cameron. She has five grandchildren & five great grandchildren. A graveside burial will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 4th, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A celebration of Rae’s life will take place at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 4th at Asbury United Methodist Church’s chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma followed by a reception. Relatives and friends are welcome. With a dry wit and matter of fact way, Rae will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness and love of faith. A grateful thank you to New Century Hospice and to Griswold Home Care for making her last few days comforting for showing such support and love.
