Ralph Edward Bruton's Obituary
Ralph Edward Bruton, 78, passed peacefully from Earth to Heaven at 2:35 p.m. February 15, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ralph was born July 25, 1940, to Aline and Lecil Bruton in Hartshorne, OK.Ralph graduated from North Eastern State College in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, in 1963. He married the love of his life, Dorothy, also in 1963. He went to nursing school in Tulsa and earned his Registered Nurse degree in 1975. He then traveled with the family across the country to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There he earned his Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) degree at McKennan Hospital and BS in Anesthesia from the University of South Dakota. Ralph had a successful career as a CRNA at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.He loved spending time with family and friends at his beloved Eufaula lake house. Being a true outdoorsman, he also enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and gardening. Ralph was a member of the Tulsa Men’s Club, the Oklahoma Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Christ United Methodist Church.Ralph will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Dorothy Watts Bruton; his son, Todd Bruton and his wife, Carol Curtis Bruton; his daughter, Jill Bruton Ferguson and her husband, Scott Ferguson; his brother, Bob Bruton and his wife, Gerry Roberson Bruton; and five beautiful grandchildren: Kalin Bruton, Terra Bruton, Grant Bruton, Sophia Ferguson and Sydney Ferguson.Friends and family are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday February 17 at 3 p.m., Christ United Methodist, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
