I was a substitute carrier for Ralph in 1980-81, and his route in Turley was my favorite. All of his customers appreciated the friendly and reliable service that Ralph provided for so many years, and he was respected by all who worked with him. Deepest sympathy to the Shaw family. When Orin and I met Ralph and Girtie at " The Shaw Family Reunion" about 3 years ago, I thought I met the sweetest couple there ever was. The two were so good together, with one just as sweet as the other. We loved Ralph's conversation about the Shaw family years and years ago, which, one could tell he had studied. He couldn't make this year's reunion because he was sick, but I know he wanted to be there. RIP Ralph. We love you.
