Ralph O. Myers' Obituary
Ralph Myers was born January 28, 1932 in Ava, Missouri to Charles R. & Mary Hailey Myers He left this earth and returned home May 27, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 85. He was welcomed into the waiting arms of Jesus and his beloved wife Billie. Mr. Myers and his wife of sixty-six years were married October 14, 1950 in Tulsa. She went ahead of Mr. Myers this past October to help prepare their new forever home. At the age of thirteen he delivered ice to families’ homes and at the age fifty-seven he retired from the teamsters union. Mr. Myers served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 as a Private 1st Class. He was a truck driver most of his lifetime. He and Billie loved to travel and would take neighborhood children with Gina and Ralph on various fun trips. Fishing and wood working were two of his favorite hobbies. He loved his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren beyond measure. He was a man of great integrity. Preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Billie, and several other family members. He leaves to mourn his passing, but celebrate this life, two children, Ralph Myers & wife Rita, Gina Allison & husband Lloyd; six grandchildren, Michael Myers, Brandon Allison, Ross Myers & wife Amanda, Sasha Wood & husband Jake, Courtney N. Allison and Will Myers; also to his legacy are three great grandchildren, Braden, Knox and Briggs Myers. Services 12:30pm Thursday, June 1st, 2017 in the Chapel of Floral Haven Funeral home. Rev. Larry Delay will officiate, following the sharing of memories by his family, friends are also welcome to briefly share their memories. The United States Army will conduct military honors. Burial will be private. Friends are welcome to come by the Myers home for fellowship following the services. In lieu of flowers memorial to Clarehouse.
