Ralph E. Warner Jr.'s Obituary
VeteranRalph E. (Jack) Warner, Jr.Ralph E. Warner, Jr. was born Aug. 12, 1928 near Garber, Ok, to Ralph E. Warner and Lena (Luschen) Warner. He was the fifth child of nine children. His early life was on a farm near Ponca City, where he attended Foster rural school. He moved to Guthrie in the middle of the eighth grade. When fifteen he asserted his independence and used his farm skills to earn room and board farm-to-farm for a few months in northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas. He returned home and, at sixteen, worked in the oil field. On turning seventeen he enlisted in the Navy and served on the USS Topeka in the Pacific until his discharge at twenty-one. He worked for the railroad in Arizona and California for a few years and was a district manager for MoorMan’s Mineral Feeds in eastern Oklahoma for a few years. Ralph was preceded in death by wife, Orpha “Sally” Warner, parents Ralph and Lena Warner, step-daughters Marsha L. Williams; Mary Jo “Jody” Williams, sisters Ina Marlin and Ethel Vetzel, brothers Leslie and Steve Warner. He is survived by, step-sons Michael J. Williams, Omaha, Samford E. Williams, Omaha; step-daughters Patti Williams Craig, Omaha, Barbara Williams Sykora (Marcus), Liberty, MO.; sisters Sarah Bostwick, Newalla, and Martha Tousey, Oklahoma City; brothers George Warner, Oklahoma City and David Warner, Norman. The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Lindsey, Norman and the doctors and nurses of the Norman Regional Hospital, Progressive Care Unit, who attended lovingly and professionally to his care.Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
