Randall Raymond Blackwood, 74 years old, of Broken Arrow, OK died June 7th 2021 in Broken Arrow, OK. Born May 26th 1947 in Tahlequah, OK to Raymond Blackwood and Annabelle Cagle
Randy was an active member of the Johnson O’Malley organization in advancing educational opportunities for Native Americans. Randy was a proud Cherokee and often donated his time and resources to help support and advance Native Americans. Randy also loved the outdoors and would often spend time hunting and fishing after his retirement from American Electric Power, where he spent 30+ years in the power industry. Randy also spent time traveling post retirement and loved seeing historical sites and natural wonders. Randy was known by many as “Coach” as he spent countless years coaching, mentoring, and supporting his 3 children and their teammates in softball, baseball, basketball, football, dance, band, wrestling, track, and soccer. Randy was also a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Church on the Move.
Randy was preceded in death by: Annabelle Cagle (mother), Raymond Blackwood (father), and Ricky Blackwood (brother). Randy is survived by: Cynthia Blackwood (spouse), Angela Blackwood (daughter), Bryan Blackwood (son), Cheyenne Blackwood (daughter), Korynn Tindel (granddaughter), Konner Tindel (grandson), Brynnley Blackwood (granddaughter), Barron Blackwood (grandson), Baylor Blackwood (granddaughter), Kathy Holcroft (sister), Paula Carmichael (niece), Quannah Holcroft (nephew), and Tommy Holcroft (nephew). Memorial services will be held 12:30pm, Friday June 18th 2021 at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK
