Ray W. Jenkins' Obituary
Ray W. Jenkins, 74, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, with family by his side in Houston, Texas. He was born on September 5, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ray was a Proud Navy Vietnam Veteran, serving his country with honor. After his military service, he pursued a career as a dedicated mailman. He cherished his time at the post office, forming lasting friendships with colleagues and the people on his route.
Ray's magnetic personality was evident to all who knew him. He never met a stranger and was the life of the party, known for his quick wit and infectious laugh. His kind and strong nature shone through, but it was his heart that truly defined him. Ray's tenacity and willingness to go above and beyond for his family and friends left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
He is survived by the love of his life, Cheryl Jenkins, his daughter Lisa Muller and husband Tim Muller, his cherished granddaughters Gabrielle and Sophia Muller, and sister Glenda Jenkins. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Eunice Reinike, brothers William and Billy Jenkins, and sister Barbara Wadsworth. He also leaves behind sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large extended family whom he considered his own.
Visitation will be held from 11AM to 7PM on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 3PM on Friday, April 12th 2024 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
His legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
