Rayma Joy Morgan's Obituary
Rayma Joy (Worrell) Morgan, 89 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, June 27, 2021 in Broken Arrow. She was born December 7, 1931 in Hollis, Oklahoma to her parents, Glen Ray Worrell and Annie Lauri Cleere Worrell. She later married the love of her life, Jack Morgan on July 1, 1950 and they shared in over 46 wonderful years together before his passing in 1996.
Rayma is survived by her son, Jason Morgan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Beverly Worrell of Olathe, Kansas and sister-in-law, Ruth Worrell of Tulsa, Oklahoma along with numerous nieces and nephews, friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Annie Worrell, her husband, Jack and six siblings, DA Brimmer, Mary Alice Bardin, Monette Haney, Glen Worrell, Wesley Dean Worrell and Lesley Ray Worrell.
Rayma worked in banking for many years at First National Bank and Trust. She also co-owned Tulsa Business Consultants and RayMar and Associates. She received Women of the Year while working at First National Bank for her dedicated service to the industry. She’s served on the board of several philanthropic organizations, she was a member of the American Institute of Banking, American Society for Training and Development, Association of Municipal Bond Dealers of Oklahoma, Professional Businesswomen’s Association and Oklahoma Society of Fund-Raising Executives. Finally, she served as the Development Director for the Tulsa Boys Home during the early 80’s. All of these accomplishments pale in comparison to her passion for her son, Jason. She retired in 1988 to focus full time on spending time with Jason, championing Special Olympics and devoting her time to making the world a better place for learning disabled adults. She was a trailblazer who accomplished some firsts for women in the State of Oklahoma. She was loyal and protective and will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
