Raymond Lee Brooks' Obituary
Raymond Lee Brooks, 62, passed from this life on March 25, 2020. Ray was born, June 24, 1957 in Tulsa, OK to John and Marie Brooks and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1975. Ray had many passions in life whether it be cooking for friends and family and watching his son’s in all their school activities. His love for Jesus and his family were the most important things in his life.
Ray's greatest passion was open wheel racing. He traveled the U.S. with the World of Outlaws, ASCS, midgets, and other series; winning several A features with some of his drivers.
Through this twelve-year battle with cancer, Ray had support and good wishes from racers, family and friends from all over the world. He was always amazed of how many people thought of him.
Ray is survived by his wife: Vicki, his sons, Cody of Houston,
Ty and Cole of Collinsville. Also sisters: Denny Brooks of Tulsa, Jane Piercy, her husband Jon of Big Cabin, brothers Bob Brooks, his wife Paula of Broken Arrow; Dwight Boman and his wife Karen of Cedar Park, TX , along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
