Raymond Paul Funk's Obituary
Raymond Paul Funk, age 86, passed away on September 11, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born on August 16, 1938, in Hillsboro, Kansas, to Otto E. Funk and Sara Celeste (Hiebert) Funk. Raymond attended Marion High School in Marion, Kansas and later received his bachelor's degree from Tabor College, in Hillsboro. A proud Army Veteran, Raymond went on to have a distinguished career as a chemist in the grease and oil industry. He retired from Citgo Petroleum in 2006 after years of dedication.
Known for his hard work, kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit, Raymond was a loving family man. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, and fishing trips, but above all, cherished the time spent with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to honor his memory are his beloved wife of 60 years, Donita; sons, Jason and Michael; grandchildren, Matthew and Allison, and their mother, Stacey Lorenz; brother, John; other family members, friends, and his dedicated caregivers, Tina and Rayden, who formed a lasting bond with Raymond and his family.
A celebration of Raymond's life will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by JB Hunt. He will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
