Raymond "Louie" Lewis White's Obituary
Raymond Lewis White was born September 16, 1948 to Robert and Ada White in Claremore, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Wyandotte area of northeaster Oklahoma and was better known as Louie by family and friends. After leaving school and turning 18, Louie joined the army where he served in engineering, learning to operate heavy equipment. Serving from September 20, 1966 to September 3, 1969, including two tours in Vietnam, Louie safely returned home. On November 3, 1969, Louie married Patti V. Works. They were blessed with two children and four grandchildren. Louie worked in construction, operating heavy equipment for 40 years. Upon retirement from Oakridge Builders, he was still called upon by former superintendents for advice. He was even asked to come back to work after losing his leg, being offere3d accommodation. Louie filled his free time with bowling then golf, spending time with family and friends playing cards, sports and tribal activities. He also loved watching people and gambling at bars and casinos. He was half Cheyenne and half Seneca-Cayuga. He loved people and would do anything for anybody. He loved his family. He is survived by his wife Patti of the home, son Ryan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, daughter Amanda of Catoosa, Oklahoma, granddaughter Erica, sisters Roberta and Ruby, brothers Roger and Randy. He was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Reuben, Richard, Ronnie and Ralph, sister Rosemary, and granddaughter Raianne.
