Raymundo Leonardo Quintanar Alegria's Obituary
It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymundo Leonardo Quintanar Alegria, born in Mexico City, Mexico on March 14, 1939. The Lord called him home on September 15, 2024, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, with his loving family by his side.
Raymundo moved to Oklahoma at a young age; and this is where he met and married his best friend and the absolute love of his life, Gayla Leigh Whitenack, on December 31, 1982. Raymundo was always an ambitious and disciplined man. He loved his work, photography, traveling, NASCAR, Formula One, soccer, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and most of all, his family. He worked hard and loved harder.
Raymundo worked for many years at Southwestern Wire Cloth, until the company closed. He truly never wanted to retire, so he found a job at Broken Arrow Manufacturing Company. Raymundo was so dedicated to his duties that he even worked until the day before he was admitted into the hospital and was sadly diagnosed with lung cancer.
Raymundo hated that he was no longer able to work and assist his colleagues, which was a true testament to his relentless spirit and character. He was a team player in every sense of the word. Raymundo will be forever missed by his family, friends, co-workers, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Raymundo is preceded in death by his parents, Heladio, and Carlotta Alegria. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gayla Alegria; daughter, Betzy Alegria; daughter, Kayla Helmuth, and husband Glenn; brother, Fernando Alegria and his family; as well as his grand-daughter, Samantha Helmuth.
A memorial service to honor the life of Raymundo will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, with Pastor Roy Betz officiating.
Raymundo's services will be livestreamed for anyone unable to physically attend the service. Please click on the following link: https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/104873
