Reba Jo Houston's Obituary
Reba Jo Houston, 85, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Ashland Health Care in Ashland, Missouri. She was born May 12, 1934 in Antlers, Oklahoma to her parents, Newt Perryman and Minnie Beatrice Tims Perryman. She was married to William L. Houston who preceded her in death on March 10, 2013.
Reba was a homemaker and worked for Southwestern Bell for 20 years and then later went on to work for JC Penny from where she retired so she could spend time helping to raise her grandchildren. She loved to cook and always made a big deal out of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Baking and her grandchildren were her passions.
Reba is survived by a half-brother, Otis Del Torto and his wife Ann; two nephews, Sam Charles Barbee and Adam Victor Barbee; one niece, Ann Barbee Ruether; three grandchildren, Sarah Lee Houston, Nicholas Adam Houston and Zachary Ryan Houston; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Newt and Minnie Perryman; her grandparents, Lula Belle Tennison and James Benjamin Tims and Sarah “Sallie” Chambliss and Alexander L. Perryman; her husband, William Lee Houston; her son, Lee Edwin Houston; and her half-brothers, Bedford Merie Del Torto and James Tossell Del Torto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and then graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor James Lacey officiating.
