Reba "Jo" Louise Adams – Whitson's Obituary
Reba “Jo” Louise Adams-Whitson was born January 25, 1931 to Sarabelle Stewart Adams and Clyde Thomas Adams in Amarillo, Texas. Her family moved to Tulsa when she was seven. She lived in Tulsa and the surrounding area until she moved in 2011 to Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, Oklahoma. Reba worked for McDonald Douglas after graduating from Tulsa Webster High School. There she met Steve Whitson; the couple was married October 23, 1954. Reba loved working as the secretary for State Farm Insurance from 1961-1993. Upon retirement she and Steve had a blast traveling in their trailer across the country. Reba moved to Spanish Cove where she enjoyed her family, friends, neighbors and care givers. Reba loved bible-study fellowship, ccy, and most of all her savior Jesus Christ. Reba was preceded in passing by her parents, Clyde Thomas Adams and Sarabelle Stewart Adams and her beloved husband Steve Whitson. Reba is survived by her two daughters; Melva Jo Carroll and her husband Ray of Yukon, Oklahoma, Dawn Haskins and her husband of Leon of Bixby, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Carroll, Tim and Megan Murray, Trent and Kami Carroll, Michael and Heather Haskins, Adam and Amanda Haskins; twelve great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
