Aunt Becky, You had such a way of making me smile. I always loved to hear your voice coming through the phone. There was something in that voice that just seemed so happy and heartwarming. I would always try to imitate your accent and that would make you laugh and your laugh would make me laugh. I will never forget spending time with you when I was in the Air Force. You made me feel at home when I was so far from my home. I am so thankful that I got to talk to you recently, and glad that as we hung up I got to say I Love you one last time. Rest in Peace aunty, I Love You.
"Aunt Becky" – that was the name I always knew you by…though you were obviously known and cherished as so many other things – Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Friend. You shared many kind thoughts and compliments with me when we "talked" online – and I got to see via your interaction with your children and granddaughter, just how special a bond you all had. I can't IMAGINE what they're going through now and hope God gives them peace as they miss you in their everyday lives. You did what we all hope to do – make a difference and leave a mark in the world. There are people walking around having been changed by your presence – and THAT really says it all. I met Becky 20+ years ago. I became fast, friend with her. She faced a lot of adversity and faced it with such a postive attitude that was contagious. I always looked forward to her calls and will miss them. Regardless of what she had going on, she always seems to lift up my spirits, never wanting to dwell on the negative. She was a couragous lady and I will miss her.
