Being the only grandaughter I always knew I was grandmas favorite but I never could quite figure out if grandpa felt the same or if he just included me as one of the guys. When I started playing basketball I realized I must be something special to him… I don't know to many people that will drive 30 miles to watch a six year old play Saturday basketball. We were 'talented' to say the least. From that game forward I don't think he missed a single game! To me he was full of advice but a man of few words. His woodwork describes him perfectly. Skilled, determined, perfectionist. Growing up, the saying around our house was- Grandpa would NOT approve of that. No matter how much effort mom and I put into making something, the final product would never compare to something grandpa would make. So thank you grandpa for showing me to not settle for second best!
One fond memmory of grandpa is the time he made me a loan to buy my first tractor. At age 18 and no steady job, it was impossiable for me to get a bank loan but grandpa took a chance. I paid him off early and used the tractor for many years.
GRANDPA, THANKS FOR BEING GRANDPA.I will miss you. From golf to house painting to the gallons of milk always at the house you made life interesting. I appreciate the support and wisdom you provided for myself. Just know you will always be in my heart and prayers. Love You ROBBY ANGELA and KYLE
G-pa, I will miss you very much. Thank you for the love and support you gave to me both personally and in sports. I always liked looking in the stands during a soccer or basketball game and seeing you and g-ma. I also enjoyed hearing your critical comments to the referees and my coaches during the games. I also remember the golf lessons and yummy brunch at the club. I truly cherish those times. I love you and tell g-ma hello from me.Carey, Beckham, Paxton and I will miss you very much.
I am going to miss you Grandpa. Loved our times together so much. You taught me how to be strong and stand up for myself. I truly appreciate all that you taught me, don't guzzle the milk and cripes are what I remember you saying the most. Love you.
