Richard Barham, age 82, passed away on January 13, 2026, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 13, 1943, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Thestle and Thelma Barham.
Richard was known for his sharp wit and great sense of humor—laughter followed him wherever he went. He lived life in his frugal nature and ensured he always had a “variety” and made sure his “suggestions” were known.
He was a devoted family man who deeply loved spending time with those closest to him, especially during family dinners, which he truly cherished. Richard was a dedicated workaholic, always taking pride in hard work and responsibility. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and the occasional visit to the casino, and he was a loyal fan of the OU Sooners.
On March 29, 1964, Richard married the love of his life, Norma Ford, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, at the Church of God. Their marriage was a lasting testament to love, commitment, and family.
Richard will be remembered for his humor, his strong personality, and his deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Shirley Sarnowski and brother Robert Barham.
He is survived by his wife Norma Barham, daughter Brandi Graham and husband Michael, daughter Rachelle Hill and husband James, grandchildren Paige Brianna Rushing, Jace Cade Hill, Malynn Kiley Graham, Brogan Shaw Graham, great-granddaughter Adeline Mae Rushing, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. Richard will also be survived by his sarcastic sense of humor that has been passed down to his family and friends to keep moving forward.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 23rd, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home - Rose Chapel
Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens - Garden of Faith
