I have many memories going over to my Aunt Mildred's house on Cherry Street in Erie, PA. Dick and I used to talk and he'd always tell my dad how Einstein's ideas were relevant. My dad could not stand Buddy Holley but Dick really liked him in the late 50s and early 60s. His dad, Carl, was a wonderful singer but I did not know him well. I was happy Dick came to my dad's funeral in 1970 in Gettysburg PA. Because of Dick's Air Force time, I took an interest in it too, and served 30 years. I knew his sister Anita but not very well. She worked in New York City back then. I am happy he stayed with his guitar. I played the accordion then but we never got together to do a duet. He was the cousin I saw least, but enjoyed the most when I visited his house. I always admired his Mom, my aunt Mildred, for sustaining a living working at home with her hair salon. Later, she cared for her dad (my grandfather Joseph Foessett). The grandparents had lost two sons very young, my dad (Bob) and his brother Richard (Dick), only in their forties. May God grant peace to all of you who loved Dick so much. He will always be a joyful and positive memory in my life. Bob Foessett, Lt Col, USAF (Ret) North Las Vegas, NV
