Richard Boone's Obituary
Richard Baxter Boone, affectionately known as Rick, passed from this life on October 8, 2025, at the age of 76 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born on May 19, 1949, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, Rick was the beloved son of William and Minerva Jane Boone. His journey through life was marked by deep love, unwavering loyalty, and a spirit that brought joy to all who knew him.
On August 25, 1973, Rick married the love of his life, Carol Boone. Together they welcomed two children who became the center of their world. Rick was a proud husband and father, and his family was his greatest treasure.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Rick found joy in the thrill of football and baseball. He was a passionate supporter of Kansas State football and cheered faithfully for the Kansas City Chiefs. His love for the game was matched only by his love for the soundtrack of his youth—rock and roll from the 1960s and 70s, which he played often and with great enthusiasm.
Rick’s legacy is one of deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He was a light in his family’s life, and he will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carol Boone and his parents William Boone and Minerva Jane Boone. Left to cherish Ricks memory are his sons Kevin Boone and his wife Angela and Kyle Boone; grandchildren Michael Boone and Alex Boone; brother William Boone Jr.; grand-dog James; along with other family members and friends who will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives.
