When the rural schools were consolidated, I went to Butler School with Dick for fifth grade, then I went to Coffeyville, Parochial school. Later, we were both in the class of 1955. Marilyn, Mark & Kathryn, I worked with Dick for many years at Amoco. He is a wonderful, caring, hard-working, warm, and friendly person. Many a time he made my day with a huge smile while doing his job and filling in for missing employees during high stress situations. When he showed up, things got moving. Marilyn and Family,Dick and his parentâ??s family were long time friends of my family. In fact, so long that I first met Richard and his brothers having our diapers changed together by our Mothers in Tyro, Kansas. Our parents have always been close and I have truly enjoyed the love and friendship the two families shared. We will miss Dick, especially MCâ??ing our Class Reunion. It seems like every day another one of our buddies is gone. I guess this is a sign of getting older and I don't like it.
