Richard Glifford Erickson's Obituary
Richard Glifford Erickson, 72, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away August 16, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a long battle with cancer. Richard was born on December 17, 1948 in Kelsey, Minnesota to Glifford and Mary Erickson.
Rich was a loving husband, father, Pawpaw, Grandpa, brother, son-in-law, father-in-law, and friend. Even though he was a tough man, he had the biggest heart and loved his family dearly. He had a contagious smile and was always making family and friends laugh. John Wayne was Rich’s Hero and you could always find him watching a good western. He also enjoyed fishing and any time spent on the lake. Rich worked many years as a heavy equipment operator and foreman. He was also an entrepreneur over the years with many other talents as a car sales manager, deputy sheriff, truck driver, and bouncer to list a few. He was proud to be a Shriner and Master Mason 32nd Degree. Rich never met a stranger and tried his best to always help others in need. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Richard was preceded in passing by his parents, Glifford Henry Erickson and Mary Margaret Erickson (Savage). Richard is survived by his wife, Regina Erickson; son, Glen Erickson and his wife, Keri; son, Bob Erickson and his wife, Tammy; daughter, Christi Reid and her husband, Tony; daughter, Becky Scott; daughter, Mandi Castie and her husband, Levis; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Fallang and her husband, Jim; sister, Colleen Hanson and her husband, Howie; brother Ken Erickson and his wife, Joan; numerous nieces and nephews he loved dearly and countless other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Friday, August 27, 2021at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 12:30 pm, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chael.
