Richard L. Langford's Obituary
Richard Laverne Langford aka Ricky, was born on April 29, 1951 to E.V. and Dorothy Langford, in Sand Springs, OK, the first of two children. The family relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma, were Ricky attended Burroughs Elementary. At the age of 18, Ricky graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1969. He proceeded his education in college at, Oklahoma State University, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Science. Then a second child, Cynthia D Langford Murdock, was born. Ricky persude his career, and moved to California and became a Radio Personality. He moved back to Tulsa, and married Anita Garrett in 1990, to this union, two children were born Erick Jerrod and Quentin Langford. Ricky worked as a Youth and Family Counselor for several years at, Tulsa Housing Authority and Lloyd E. Rader. Before he became disabled he worked for Fingerhut/ Metris Corporation as a Finance Manager.He leaves his cherished wife of 25 years, Anita Langford, mother, Dorothy Langford, two sons, Erick and Quentin Langford, sister, Cynthia Murdock (Marvin, Sr.), brother-in-law, Cecil Garrett Jr (Sue), step daughter, SaRita Wilson and twin granddaughters, Denita and Denae Wilson. His grandmother, Katherine Burks and father, E.V. Langford preceded him in death. Ricky also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, November 19th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, November 20th, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
