Richard Lynn Parks' Obituary
Richard Lynn Parks, 82, passed from this life on March 1, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of his family. Born February 25, 1944, in Tulsa to Mary Virginia (Hodges) Parks, Richard grew up with a deep appreciation for people, connection, and the simple joys of everyday life. He carried those values into his lifelong work as a cosmetologist, a profession through which he touched countless lives with his skill, warmth, and easy conversation.
Richard’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Parks; his son, Richard Rush Parks; his daughter, Tiffany Parks; and two beloved four‑legged companions who brought him endless joy—his “child,” Fancy, and his “grandchild,” Lucy. Their presence brightened his days, and he cherished the comfort and companionship they offered.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Denis, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.
Richard will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his dedication to his craft, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His absence leaves a quiet space in the hearts of those who loved him, but his influence and the memories he created will continue to live on.
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward Richard’s inurnment placement, honoring his life in a way that reflects the care and dignity he showed others.
