Richard Wayne Record's Obituary
Richard Wayne Record, age 78, passed from this life on February 18, 2026, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born on October 17, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William Record and Augusta Pearl Sharp.
Richard lived a life defined by passion, loyalty, and an unmatched work ethic. He was never one to shy away from a hard day’s work, and those who knew him admired his determination and drive. Yet, he also knew how to savor the joys of life—especially when he was on the open road. His love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles was more than a hobby; it was a source of freedom and happiness that stayed with him throughout his life.
He found joy in the simple pleasures: cooking meals, tending to his garden, and spending time with his beloved dogs. Richard had a special fondness for the Canton Flea Market and the excitement of Sturgis, places where he felt right at home among friends, stories, and the hum of engines. His love of travel took him far beyond Oklahoma, even across the ocean to Europe, where he embraced the chance to see the world.
Richard had a playful side too—he enjoyed watching TikToks and sharing his favorites with family and friends, always ready to bring a smile or a laugh to someone’s day. But above all, nothing meant more to him than his grandchildren. He adored them deeply, and they brought him immeasurable pride and joy.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Richard’s presence will be profoundly missed, but the stories he shared, the adventures he embraced, and the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he ride on in peace.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Gina Quinton and her husband Damon; his son Jeff Record and his wife Crystal; grandsons Vincent, Dawson, and Dylan; great granddaughter Ryleigh; nieces Lori, Sherry, Lisa, and Nancy; nephew Kenny; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish their time together.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 3PM at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Good Shepherd in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
