I came to know Richard through his father, who started Asbury Methodist church's orchestra. I then became closer to Richard after his father died and I visited his mother weekly. Richard told me that he had my picture on his phone holding a black orphaned baby on an Asbury medical mission trip. He dearly loved his first grand baby, proudly bringing her to church as she pushed a tiny baby stroller around the church with her "baby" in it. He introduced her to me when she was there once and said, "I've told her all about you"... I was shocked to hear that this kind man is gone from our earthly sight, but know that we'll see each other once again during our continuation of our eternal life...
