Richard Allen Slagle's Obituary
Richard Allen Slagle, 87, butcher/meat cutter and U.S. Navy Veteran passed away February 13, 2018 in Broken Arrow, OK. He was born July 23, 1930 in Kittaning, PA to Merrell and Margaret Jane (McAnna) Slagle.Richard was a man of many talents. He was metal fabricator, repairman, inventor, territory manager, warehouse supervisor and co-owner and developer. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bowling, shooting, and golfing. Richard served in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952. He was a member of a local Sportsman’s club, Polish Falcons. Richard was a witness for the Lord.He is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve Slagle; children, Toni Lee Hileman, Carmilla Louise Russell, Terri Lynn Ramos, and Merrell Allen Slagle; grandchildren, Casandra Martin, Patience Boles, David CR Harris, Larry Hilemon, Jeremy Slagle, Jeremiah Harris, Laura Hileman, Adam Bechtold, Anina Russell, and Sarah Klein; twenty one great grandchildren; sister, Yula Bowser. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Merrell and Margaret Slagle; brother, John W. Slagle; sisters, Betty Lindberg and Margie Dunmire; grandson Merrell Allen Slagle, Jr.visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 15th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 16th, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.Memorial Service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, February 16th, Grace Church, Broken Arrow.
