Richard Wayne Sterrenberg's Obituary
Richard Wayne Sterrenberg passed away, May 4, 2012 went to heaven to be with Jesus and loved ones preceding him. He was born in Thompson, Iowa, on October 2, 1926, and was the son of William and Mildred Sterrenberg. Richard was preceded into glory by his son, Michael, brothers Alan, Walter, and Teddy his sisters Opal and Dorothy. Richard was married to his sweetheart Mavis Sterrenberg for 65 years. He is survived by his wife, sons, Tim and Kevin, his grandchildren Holly, Kirsten, Sean Ben, Amy, James and Amber. His great-grandchildren Jordan, Emma and Evalee are also left to carry on his legacy. Richard was a World War ll veteran and served his country with honor. Richard was a carpenter and building contractor. He was known for his quality of craftsmanship. He in recent years has has devoted his life taking care of his wife whom has alzheimers. Many people have been astonished at his devotion to her. He will be rememberd by many as a real family man putting others first.
