Richard Gene Thomason's Obituary
Richard Gene Thomason, 68, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on December 28, 1957, in Tulsa to his parents, Eugene Thomason and Georgia Pauline Patterson Thomason.
On May 22, 2013, Richard married the love of his life, Deborah Lee Kunze Thomason, in Tulsa. She remains to cherish his memory.
Richard lived life with enthusiasm and a big heart. He was an avid bowler—well‑known among friends as one of the best left‑handed bowlers around. He loved the thrill of NASCAR, the timeless voice of Elvis Presley, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Football held a special place in his heart, and he was a proud and loyal OU fan.
Richard is survived by his wife, Deborah, and his three brothers: Bill Thomason and his wife Jean of Bixby; Larry Thomason and his wife Cindy of Broken Arrow; and Danny Thomason of Cleveland, Oklahoma. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched.
