Richard/Kevin – I was so sorry and saddened to hear of your father's death. Bruce and I have lots and lots of memories of both Uncle Dick and Aunt Gertrude, all linked to happy and good times. I started to write some of these down but soon realised that I could fill pages! Uncle Dick was great company, always comfortable in himself and his suroundings, had a great sense of humour, a great storyteller with a never ending fund of stories to entertain and amuse you. As I am writing this I'm looking at a photo of Uncle Dick and Bruce (in full Highland Dress) taken in your parent's front garden one Sunday after we had all returned from Church. It will always be there and we will never forget him or stop thinking about him and the many good times we shared. Our love and condolences to you both and all the family. My heart sank when I heard my Uncle Dick had passed on. I will never forget the kindness he and Gertrude showed to me when I visited them too many years ago. He was a gentleman,I wish I had spent more time in his company and been there on Saturday to pay my respects. Deepest condolences to Richard, Kevin and all in the USA.

Our deepest condolences to Richard, Kevin and their families on the sad passing of their Dad and our Uncle Dick.Many fond memories exist from our visit to Bellmore in the late 60's and Uncle Dick's visit home to Scotland along with Kevin in the 80's.We will be thinking of you all on Saturday.God Bless,Cousin Danny (great nephew) and wife Catherine, Cousin Roberta (niece) and husband Nino.

Richard, better known as Scotty to us, was our neighbor for over 18 years. He was a good man and an asset to our neighborhood. Everyone knew Happy and how much Scotty loved that dog. We wish her the very best in her new pack! We will miss Scotty terribly, but we are assured he is in heaven and has no pain, discomfort, or sorrow, so we rejoice with him!
