Rita Kay Gross' Obituary
Rita Kay Gross, 77, a resident of Glenpool, Oklahoma passed away on April 16, 2023. Rita was raised in Henryetta, OK. She later married the love of her life, Ben and they began their journey together in Kileen, TX before moving to Jenks, OK in 1976, where she raised their family. She then moved to Newalla, OK for 10 years and moved to Glenpool, OK for the last 8 years. She was a devoted and loving wife, nana, mother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. She worked as a CNA for Skyline Nursing Home, a Teacher at Sweet P Daycare and Learning Center, and a day housekeeper at the Warren Foundation for 20 years.
Rita was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 32 years, Ben Gross; her brother, James Acosta; her sister, Rosa M. Nieto; her brother, Matthew Acosta; her sister, Johnnie M. Nieto; her brother, Patrick Gaither; sister, Ida Gaither; sister, Judy D. Acosta, great-grandchild Paieton J. Pinkstaff; nephew, Frank Gaither, nephew, Bobby Heskett, and Rita's later life partner Alex Mellinger.
She is survived by her loving children, David Anthony Gross and his wife, Leslie, Davida "Dana" Ann Cates, and Daniel Allen Gross; her grandchildren, Eric G. Thayer, Alicia N. Pinkstaff and her husband, Anthony, Bryan L. Gee, Ben P. Gross, Cheyenne A. Gross-Holman; her great-grandchildren, Carson Reid Gross, Jaxson Thayer, Brogan Alexander Gee, Kyler Pinkstaff, and Nicole Ann Gross-Holman; her sister in law, Jimmye Nelle Acosta, sister in law, Terry Heskett; brother in law, Scott Gross-Carol Gross; 31 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews, an abundance of cousins'. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
