Rita M. Lane's Obituary
Rita M. (Fichera) Lane, born February 27, 1927 went home to her Lord January 2, 2015. Loving wife of 61 years to George E. Lane, mother to Sandy Meyer and husband Gordon, George C. Lane, Ruthie Gunnells and husband Bo, Tom Lane, Kathy Lane and the late David E. Lane. Rita was a loving and doting grandmother, a.k.a. “Baby Doll” to Justin, Jenny, Tommy, Tony, Nikki, Joe, Samantha, Jacquie, Kayti, Jasea and Chase; as well as great-grandma to 16 precious little ones. Rita is preceded in passing by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and her youngest son. Rita was born in Medford, MA. She was a former employee of Cities Service Oil Company and seamstress for Pat Caster Interiors. She lived her 87 years residing in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Arizona. Rita spent her last few years back in Oklahoma close to family and friends. She loved to cook, bake, sew, knit, crochet, solve crossword puzzles and go on shopping excursions. She loved her family and friends and was a passionate prayer warrior for all. She will be sorely missed and live in our hearts forever and always. Until we meet again may she find comfort and peace in the everlasting arms of Jesus Christ and walk arm and arm with David and all those who have gone before her down the streets of Heaven. “Love You More!”
