Robert "Bob" Murray DuVall's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Murray DuVall, aged 86, a beloved resident of Broken Arrow. Born on June 26, 1937, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Robert and Okla DuVall, Bob's life was marked by remarkable achievements and warm connections. Bob graduated from Tulsa Central High in 1955 and later served with distinction in the US Army and Civil Air Patrol, earning an honorable discharge as a Lt. Colonel. Known by his pilot name, "Greaser," he was celebrated for his smooth landings and shared his passion for flying by teaching his children to soar the skies. Transitioning to a career with the USPS, Bob dedicated himself to service and retired as a postal carrier. Beyond his professional pursuits, he revealed his musical talents as a skilled steel guitar player. In his leisure, Bob enjoyed the company of friends, savoring whiskey, dancing, and charming the ladies. His love extended to animals, particularly dogs, and cats, reflecting his compassionate nature. Bob DuVall's vibrant personality left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and his legacy will live on through the memories of those fortunate enough to have shared in his joyous journey through life.
Bob was preceded in passing by his parents, Robert James DuVall, and Okla DuVall (Murray); his son, Bobby DuVall, and his daughter, and his daughter, Sheri DuVall-Love.
He is survived by his son, Dustin DuVall; his daughter, Melody DuVall-Gay and her husband, Kevin; his grandchildren, Logan Sexton, Dash DuVall, Phelan Clark, and Ellianna DuVall-Gay; his brother, Phillip DuVall, and his wife, Patsy; and numerous other family members and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 2024 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
