Robert Bowen's Obituary
Robert Edwin Bowen, Jr. of Tulsa passsed away August 20, 2021. He was born December 2, 1934 in Morris, Oklahoma to Robert and Clara Bowen.
Robert was a telephone lineman and also worked for American Milk Producers for many years. He graduated from Daniel Webster High School. He enjoyed hunting fishing, and attending Daniel Webster football games.
He served his country by entering the United States Marine Corps on March 3, 1952. He was honorably discharged on March 2, 1955 at the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and U.N. Service Medal. He was proud to be a Marie veteran. Semper Fi. He then served 3 years in the Oklahoma National Guard, 45th Division.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, his half-brother David McCormack, and his half-sister Norma Stowe. He is survived by his wife of almost 66 years Margaret; daughter Carolyn Brashear; 2 grandsons Cameron and Shelby Brashear and 1 great-grandson Bobbie Brashear.
There will be no funeral held, but there will be a celebration of Robert's life at Floral Haven Cemetery in the visitation room at 3 pm - 6 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
