Robert Junior Chambers' Obituary
Robert Junior Chambers was born one cold night, Decemeber 20, 1926 in a Texoco Lease house to Henry Franklin Chambers and Georgia Eva Frederick Chambers. To this marriage was born also Betty Jo Chambers, who died in 2014 in Fort Hood, TX. The nearest Texoco lease was an oil boom town called Burbank, Osage County OK.Attended the first 8 grades in an oil field school at Carter Nine, OK. Two years in the 9 and 10 grades at Burbank, OK followed by two years in 11 and 12 in Apache, OK.Volunteered at twenty years old for the Regular Army, taking the Army Schooling for Army Medical Technician and given an early discharge with the rank of Sergeant. Entered a small Bible college upon discharge in Oklahoma City, OK. Junior and Senior years spent as a regular and full time minister. During Junior years, published a year book during those two years.Became married to Hazel Gardner and upon graduation in 1951 as Senior Body President, resigned the Pastorate at Hydro, OK and one year later found us in Japan as missionaries. I arrived in February 1952.Returned to the United States with two adopted daughters, GI Fathers and Japanese mothers on July 4, 1959. While being the youth minister in Hugoton, KS for two years, we got the girls US Citizenship in a court in Liberal, KS.Two years later we found ourselves as ministers for another two years in Gallup, NM. Following that I returned to OK and marriage ended in divorce. For the next 30 plus years, I began and became very successful with a remodel business in Tulsa, OK .Without any accidents while building in Japan, New Mexico and Tulsa, I fell 20 ft. off a ladder on March 17, 1985. The concrete sidewalk I landed on destroyed both arms and permanently damaged my hands. I continued Bob’s Home Remodeling until 1992.In 1987, God lead me to a lady, which radically, with the Lord’s help, changed my life forever. On January 25, 1988, I married JanaVee Daniel. Jenny and I would spend many of our early years traveling the US and World together or with close friends and fellow church members. Our life together was centered on our faith, followed closely by our love for each other and family. For the first time in life as an adult, I experienced the feeling of a family.After knee replacement surgery in 2011, we moved to Montereau Living Center to continue our lives together. We continued to build a ministry through worship services and daily devotions.Bob will be greatly missed by his church, wife, family, grandkids and great grandkids and friends.Beyond the Lord and family, Bob enjoyed western movies, bald eagles, woodworking, Oklahoma Sooner Sports, sweets, Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals.Services will be held at Floral Haven on January, 6, 2017 at 10:00 am.
