Robert Dale Compton's Obituary
Robert Dale Compton, 85, of Tulsa, OK, passed away December 1, 2011. He was born on December 25, 1925, the son of Earl and Cora Compton. His surviving siblings are Eula, Lucibelle, Maxine, and Herbert. Robert served in WW II in the 45th Infantry and fought 7 major battles, including the Battle of the Bulge, under General Patton and was also a P.O.W . His duty earned him a purple heart, 3 bronze stars and many other citations.He will be fondly remembered by his two sons, Ronald and Thomas Compton, both of Tulsa, grandson Chris and his wife Emma, granddaughter Courtney and her husband, Rick, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.R.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Fae and siblings: Tookie, Faye, Yvonne, Wilma and Joe.A funeral service will be held at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, December 5th, 10:00 am..
