Robert "Bob" James Corcoran's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Corcoran, 70, went to be with the Lord, on February 23, 2026, in Broken Arrow, OK.
He was born on March 21, 1955, in Binghamton, NY to James and Dorothy Corcoran. From an early age, Bob displayed a passion for athletics, faith, and serving others—qualities that would define his life.
On June 19, 1999, Bob married Barbara Gray in Tulsa, OK. Their marriage was a blessing filled with faith, love, and shared devotion to serving others.
A gifted athlete, Bob pursued professional tennis in his younger years, competing with determination and integrity. His love for tennis was matched only by his love for Jesus Christ.
Led by his deep faith he dedicated his life to mentoring inner city and at-risk youth, encouraging them not only in sports but in character, discipline, and faith. In the early 1980’s Bob founded Helping Hands of Tulsa, a ministry dedicated to reaching youth and families in need. It later merged to become Youth At Heart ministries. Bob served others through this ministry for nearly 40 years.
After Bob retired, he became involved in ministry work at Rhema Bible Church where he volunteered his time and heart to supporting and sharing the love of Christ through the prayer phone ministry.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Corcoran.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara Corcoran, sister Barbara Keiser (Chuck) , sister Kathleen Finck, and brother Ron Corcoran (Leah), his nephews, Spencer and Skyler Finck, and nieces Charlene Keiser and Kimmie Corcoran, along with his extended family of cousins, friends, and loved ones.
