Robert Golasinski, Sr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Edward Golasinski, Sr., 82 of Tulsa, Oklahoma announce his passing in hospital, on November 23, 2018, with family by his side. Robert was born January 21, 1936, in Houston, Texas to parents, Andrew Golasinski and Marian Seaman Golasinski.Moving to Tulsa in 1946, Robert graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1954 and then from his beloved University of Oklahoma, with a Bachelors degree in Engineering .Robert was a member of the United States Airforce and the Oklahoma Air National Guard retiring after 30 years of service as a Master Tech Sergeant. Robert also enjoyed a successful career spanning 30 years with Oklahoma Natural Gas. He worked as a Pipeline Relocation Engineer. One of his many achievements at ONG included spearheading the ONG Red Cross blood drives. Bob was a “10 Gallon“ blood donor himself.Bob’s spare time was spent being active in all aspects of community in Tulsa volunteering. Some of the events he participated in included River Parks festivals, Mayfest, Indian Art Festivals to Octoberfest. He was very active in youth baseball, and enjoyed his occasional golf outings.Robert will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of nearly 33 years, Geraldine Golasinski; his son, Robert “Bob” Golasinski, Jr., wife Tammy of Reno, Nevada; his daughter, Terri Preston and husband Vincent of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sister, Mary Lou Bruno and husband Gene of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and his two nieces, Brennan Bruno and Brooke Muldrow. He was preceded in death by his parents, A. A. “Golly” Golasinski and Marion Golasinski.Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov 28, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov 29, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.Robert will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing this remarkable man.
