Robert "Bob" Anthony Guida Jr.'s Obituary
Robert “Bob” Anthony Guida, Jr., of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on July 28, 1942, in Richmond Hills, New York, Bob was the son of Robert Alfred Guida, Sr., and Angela Marie (Rastello) Guida.
A proud family man with a great sense of humor and a heart full of love, Bob was known for cracking inappropriate jokes at all the wrong times—just one of the many ways he made life fun for those around him. He found his greatest joys in time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always cheering them on from the sidelines at ballgames or sharing his passions with them.
On October 17, 1962, Bob married his first wife, Joyce, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together, they built a loving family and shared many wonderful years until her passing. After her death, Bob found love again with Norma Jean (Bowles), with whom he shared his final years.
Bob was an avid fisherman and a devoted bowler who spent countless joyful hours in bowling leagues, often alongside family. It was through one of those leagues that he met his second wife, Jean, later in life. They married in February of 2021, bringing new joy and companionship into his golden years.
Professionally, Bob’s proudest achievement was earning his AMP license, a milestone that led to a fulfilling career with American Airlines. He worked there from 1995 until his retirement in 2013, a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication.
Bob also loved sprint car races and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. His warm spirit, loyalty, and wit left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jean Guida (Bowles); his children, David Guida and wife Carla, and Toni Waldrop; his son-in-law, Rocky Inbody; stepchildren, James Brantley and wife Donya Griffith, and Bobbi and Chuck Roper; and his beloved sister, Patty Henry. He is also survived by a host of cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Guida; his daughter, Julie Inbody; and his grandson, Nicholas Guida.
Bob’s legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support for his family will be remembered always.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 4th, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM.
