Robert Hagen Solberg's Obituary
Bob began his life with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 8:00 P.M. in Claremore, OK Robert was born March 4, 1927, to Harry and Anna (Hagen) Solberg, in Mayvile, North Dakota.Bob was an Army Staff Sargent in WWII, then went on to earn a degree from Columbia University, where he was a high hurdler as well. He enjoyed his life’s work as a successful insurance broker for Rollins Burdick Hunter, and Utility Rebate Consultants.In his spare time, he was a voracious reader and learner of history. Bob was very much devoted to his faith and church, Boston Avenue United Methodist, located in Tulsa, OK. He was also fond of taking long walks outdoors, which is how he met his wife, Carol. It was an exciting second marriage for them both in their late 70’s. Bob was a very respected man and a gentleman to the end.. He is survived by his wife Carol, of Tulsa, OK; and nephew Chris Solberg of Pleasant Hills, CA.His family will celebrate his life on Friday, January 16th, at 1:00 PM.
