Robert Wayne Henderson's Obituary
Henderson, Robert Wayne was born May 16, 1932 in Mineola, Texas to Joseph Robert and Lily Henderson. He died July 28, 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by: one brother James R. Henderson of Mineola, Texas; three children R. Dean Henderson, Byron K. Henderson, and Susan C. Henderson; and their loving mother, Laura P. Henderson, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Wayne received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University, where he served in the R.O.T.C. He was a Veteran of the Air Force Reserves, serving from 1952 to 1955. Wayne received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1961, and was a member of the Texas and Oklahoma Bar Associations. He was a retired member of the California Board of Accounting. Wayne was a Certified Public Accountant and enjoyed a long career with Arthur Young Accounting Firm in their California, New York, Oklahoma and Texas offices. He was the Tax Director for Williams Companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1972 to 1986. He then worked briefly for Stewart and Stevenson in Houston, Texas and ARCO in Anchorage, Alaska before he retired in 1989. Wayne was baptized as a youth into the Christian faith at First Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas. He had a lifelong love of golf, photography, musical theater, and the music of Frank Sinatra and the Big Band Era. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 10:00 a.m. in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Floral Haven 252-2518Survived By: one brother: James R.
