Robert "Bob" James Warren's Obituary
Robert “Bob” James Warren, beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, step-grandfather and friend; born Tuesday, November 15, 1938 in Hollis, Oklahoma to his loving parents, Walker & Juanita Jenkins; went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2016 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side. Robert or better known as “Bob” to his family and friends is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma. As a young man Bob served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corp. After serving his country Bob return home to Oklahoma and went to college and received a bachelor’s degree in English literature. Later going to work for The Hanover Insurance Company handling insurance claims, eventually rising to the title of VP/Manager for Insurance Claims for The Hanover Insurance Company for thirty years until his retirement. In this time Bob met the love of his life and on May 26, 1989 they began their lives together as husband and wife. Bob enjoyed many things in his free time such as watching his favorite NFL team the Dallas Cowboys, reading and studying history so much so that he became a member of the Oklahoma Historical Society; he enjoyed being out on ships and being on the ocean as well as airplanes and flying. But what Bob was truly passionate about were the moments he shared with his family and friends that he loved so dearly. Fond memories will always be cherished of Bob and how he was proud to be a United States Marine, his devotion to his family and his devotion as a father to his children, coaching their soccer teams when they were young. He will be deeply missed by all those who had their lives touched by him. Bob is preceded in death by his loving parents, Walker & Juanita Warren; his dear brother, Del Warren and his dearly loved grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-seven years, Mary Jean Warren; his loving children, Barry Warren, Mark Warren & wife Adriana and Catherine Warren & husband Shawn Lorenz; his loving step-daughter, Valerie Howard & husband Ernest; his dearly loved grandchildren, Kailey Warren, Jarod Warren and David Warren; his dearly loved step-grandchildren, Everette Howard, Alex Howard and Jackson Howard and numerous other loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with a Rosary at 6:00PM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 301 S 9th Street; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00AM at St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A graveside service will follow at 11:30AM on October 28, 2016 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in the “Garden of Our Lady of Guadalupe”. Services have been entrusted to Floral Haven Funeral Home, Floral Shop, Crematory & Memorial Gardens, 6500 S 129th E Avenue; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that a donation be made to “St. Jude’s Hospital” and the “Oklahoma Historical Society” in Bob’s name.
