Robert G. Kelly's Obituary
Robert G. Kelly,age 86 died August 29th, 2011 in Oklahoma City. A former Broken Arrow resident was born June 3, 1925 in Cushing, Oklahoma. Son of Grace and William Kelly and attended the Davenport H.S.. Robert was retired from the U.S. Postal service as a mail carrier, and also served in the Army during WW II as well as Ardennes Rhineland. Married to Betty L. who passed away July 31, 2011. Active in the Broken Arrow Seniors, VFW, N.A.L.C., and a member of the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. Robert was an avid reader, History buff and also a sports enthusiast. Survived by Daughters, Carol Cullum and husband Jerry, Sue Shelton and husband Terry, grandchildren include Kendra Van Eron, Sarah Falcon, Austin Cullum, Lacy Youngblood, Cody Shelton, Matthew Shelton. Great Grandchildren, Emily and Brady Van Eron, Aidan Falcon. Viewing will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Thursday September 1st from 5-9pm. Funeral service to be held at the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow ( 100 W. Albany, Broken Arrow) Friday 10:30am Sept. 2, 2011. Interment to follow with military rites at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, V.F.W., First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow or Broken Arrow Seniors.
